About this item

Twelve spikes that turn an ordinary plastic bottle into a slow-drip plant waterer. Fill a bottle, screw the spike onto its neck, push the spike into the soil and the plant takes water as the soil dries out.

Useful for pots and balcony boxes during a weekend away or a warm spell. Each spike has an adjustable cap to set the drip rate and can be reused.

Used them over a week away in July. The tomatoes on the balcony were fine when I got back. Easy to set the drip with the cap.

Thank you, Jakub. A week in July is a proper test.

works well with 2 liter bottles. cheap way to keep plants alive on holiday

I tried one per large pot and used smaller bottles for the herbs. It takes a little experimenting with the drip setting but after the first try it was easy. I like that they are reusable.

    Reply from Torquecorner

Thank you, Anete. The drip setting depends on the soil, so it is worth a day of watching the first time.

They work, but a couple of them dripped too fast at first and emptied the bottle in a day. After I closed the cap more they were fine.

    Reply from Torquecorner

Thanks for the note. The cap sets the rate, and drier or sandier soil drinks faster, so a slightly tighter setting often helps.

good for the price. 12 pieces enough for the whole balcony
